We sometimes take our peace/rest for granted, until our peace is scattered or our rest is disturbed. In daily living we can get caught up with working, family, issues, health and service. These aren't bad things, just can be distractions. During this time, we don't realize that things are chipping away at our being. We get busy with what we think are necessary things, and usually this is true, or so focused on our "now" goal, that we didn't notice that pieces of us was being chipped away. As a parent especially we tend to focus on providing for our children, caring for our home or being a support to others, that we forget to Stop and Refuel (REST). You are moving so fast that you don't rest (freedom from activity or labor), or give our mind time (to restore peace of mind or spirit). The enemy uses this ploy because he knows that for some of us, this is his way in. He attempts to wear us down. I know God is faithful, that even in this state, he will restore and bring us back. He may have to stop us and sit us down, but he will stop us for our own good. He will refuel us with his Loving words, Cast all your cares upon me, for I care for you. Keep your mind on me and I will keep you in perfect peace. Come unto me everyone that has a heavy spirit, and I will give you rest.His guarantee is in his words, he can not lie.So when life gets too heavy, (Stop & Refuel)Rest in Him. Remember his words - “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”Philippians 4:7 NIVWhen you can't, call for reinforcements.Attention! Thank You Lord!
As I wake up this morning, I paused to give God thanks.
Thank you in advance for the wonderful day I will have.
I am thankful for the confidence that nothing will happen that I can't handle with your Love and Guidance.
Please clear my path that I may walk freely.
Word my mouth that I may speak life.
Open my eyes so I can see what you want to show me.
Clear my ears that I may hear and know your voice
Allow my hands to work for your glory.
Again thank you for today! I Love You Lord. Please give your Angels charge over me for protection throughout my day. Amen
